The Little Falls Police Department serves a population of 9114 city residences (as of June 1st, 2022) while providing 24-hour service to the community 365 days a year. We serve 8 square miles with a total of 212 miles of roadway.


The department consists of 16 full-time officers, 4 part-time officers along with 2 civilian records staff.


PATROL DIVISION

The Patrol Division is the largest division within the department. Patrol Officers are the public face of the department. Patrol officers are uniformed, drive marked squad cars, and are the most common point of contact for citizens. The duties of a patrol officer are varied and can range from responding to medicals or aiding a parent with a lost child, to serious assaults and major incidents. 


INVESTIGATIONS

The police department currently has three officers assigned to investigations. We have a Seargent Investigator that is responsible for conducting and/or supervising any ongoing investigations within the department along with two Police Officer Investigators.


SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER:

The SRO Program was created with the assistance of grant funding in 2002.  Currently we have suspendend our contract with the Little Falls Community Schools in regards to our School Resource Officer.
